The LRCTG are pleased to announce the appointment of Hannah O’Brien as a Director of the Training Group.
Hannah brings 7 years of experience working across the private, public and charitable sectors creating opportunities and delivering programmes to help the most out of reach into employment and training in the built environment. During her early career she worked at London Probation Trust developing and delivering large ESF employment projects across London and in Europe working with a wide range of organisations operating in prison and the community. Since then she helped launch and run the award-winning charity Building Lives. As Deputy Managing Director she successfully opened and managed 10 construction training academies across London bringing together key players in the built environment, local authorities and charitable sectors and helping hundreds of young unemployed people into successful careers in the industry.
Hannah is currently managing business development and community projects for the charity Bounce Back, a training charity and Painting and Decorating Social Enterprise working inside and outside prison to train people from custody into employment in the construction industry. Hannah has joined LRCTG to help develop and enhance the groups training offer and to lead new social value projects and CSR support to our members.
LRCTG and representatives from our member companies will be attending Skills London this Friday the 15th and Saturday the 16th at the Excel Centre in London.

The 2019 LRCTG Annual Awards event was held at the fabulously refurbished Butcher`s Hall in the City of London on 10th October. The keynote speech was delivered by Kevin McLoughlin MBE (CITB Board Member), congratulating those receiving winner and highly commended awards and the employers for recognising the importance of training the future workforce of the industry.
Winners and highly commended recipients came from across the range of LRCTG members, associated training partners and education providers. Winners included Carris Utility Solutions, Kind & Co, Rooff Ltd, K&M McLoughlin Ltd, Westgreen Construction, Durkan, O’Halloran & O’Brian Ltd, Astins Ltd, Easybook Training, Construction Youth Trust, Youth Build UK, Women Into Construction and the Chartered Institute of Building.
LRCTG are excited to announce the date and venue for their 2019 annual training group awards celebrations. This years event will be held on Thursday 10th October from 5pm – 8pm, at the fantastic newly refurbished historic Butchers` Hall, 87 Bartholomew Close, EC1A 7EB.
LRCTG Members will be recognising the skills and training achievements of their employee`s across a range of categories. The awards represent the commitment to training not only of the member firms, but more importantly the people who have shown continued dedication to train and upskill. We are looking forward to a very exciting evening.
